Mama’s Baby blank greeting cards

Saturday, 30 October 2010

The cards that Hallmark doesn’t make.

Celebrate birth, breastfeeding, kids’ and adults’ birthdays, blessingways, lotus transitions, cronedom, menarche, motherways, the love of your community!

Just leave a comment under the pack you’re after and we’ll email you with details. A shopping cart is coming asap! Or email janet (at) caryspress.com.au or dominika (at) caryspress.com.au.

We post on Wednesdays and if there’s a need, we will also post on Fridays espcially over the silly season.

We just hope you enjoy these as much as we do! Remember these images are coming to you from the upcoming children’s homebirth book, Mama’s Baby, so keep an eye out for it too in the near future.

All the cards are drawn, designed and printed in Australia on the highest quality recycled materials with vegetable inks. Low carbon debt, excellent working conditions and earth-friendly materials mean that you can celebrate gentle birth and parenting while knowing that the cards (and books!) haven’t harmed people or the earth on their way to you.

You can buy cards singly, in packs of four mixed images or in packs of ten for the same image. It’s better value in the larger packs so talk to us about a bulk order if you wish. Each card comes with its own envelope which is also recycled paper and produced in Australia.

Businesses wishing to stock Carys Press cards, we’d love to talk to you too. Leave a comment and we’ll get back to you asap.

All our prices include P&H within Australia because it’s just easier that way! If you’re outside Australia, just ask for a quote by providing your full address. We’re hoping to set up a contact in Canada with a green press so we can ship cards to North America without incurring a greater debt.

Welcome to Carys Press

Sunday, 10 October 2010

We wished there were more good books for gently parenting families who care about birth, breastfeeding and children’s rights, so we decided enough was enough and Carys Press was born!

We realised that most books in Australia are printed cheaply in distant lands without unionised labour, using toxic inks and paper from unsustainable sources and amassing carbon debts in travelling here. This only increased our desire to see books we wanted to read, coming to us in eco-friendly and people-friendly form.

Our readers care deeply about how their babies are born, responsive parenting and wider issues of social justice. Like us, they want to see the nurturing of babies and children, and their parents, normalised through the medium of children’s books. They want to know that sharing the pleasure of books and greeting cards can happen without causing harm to others via exploitation or damage to the earth.

We hope that you’ll enjoy what we produce and become part of a reading world where people are valued as part of a healthy eco-system worldwide.
